God’s Faithfulness to ERP for Three Years

On August 10, 2021
The Bible tells us that God has great plans for us (Jer. 29:11), that He has a purpose for us (Eph. 2:10), and that He will complete what He has started in us (Phil. 1:6). “We can make our plans, but the LORD determines our steps” (Pro. 16:9). Emmaus Road Partners was born out of a time when we had made our plans, but the Lord had something else in mind, and all we can say after three years is “Great is Thy faithfulness!“.

I could go on and on, but the relationship and resources I’ve had access to through ERP have been invaluable, and I will be forever grateful for their obedience to help build the Kingdom.

Made+New

Emmaus Road Partners helped in making us aware of the need to have a more focused set of goals in writing to more effectively communicate to our current and potential ministry partners. I am thankful to have this resource of Christian brothers that I can touch base with at times to get a specific type of help and be pointed in the right direction.

Made+New, His Love Ministries

Since 2018, Twig Gray and David Welch have offered individual and organizational coaching and consulting to new, growing, or struggling nonprofits. We have helped meet needs in the areas of mission clarity, organizational structure, board development, and fundraising strategies. There are currently 40+ individuals, organizations, or ministries we meet with either weekly, monthly, or quarterly who benefit from our assistance. This equates to approximately 28 meetings each month. Behind the scenes, Sandy Boyd has been the administrative anchor since Day 1. We have also expanded our network of volunteers and professionals who help us with special projects. That network has included Charlene Blanton, Hutch Eckerson, Charles & Kathy Gee, Randy Rabon, and Bill Ross. Our Prayer Partners, undergirding the entire effort before the throne, have included Trudi Belcher, Andy Heen, Mackey McCaslan, and Linda Tyner. And because of friends like you who help fully fund our staff, Emmaus Road Partners can offer these services for FREE!

Without the help of Emmaus Road Partners, I would still be floundering with this dream but no real vision of how to get it off the ground. ERP has supported me with invaluable insight and organizational skills. I had been working on this project for over a year when I began talking to them. With their help, I was able to narrow my focus down to ten tasks that I needed to do in order to get started.

The Namayana Project

Over the past three years, Emmaus Road Partners has given away over $330,000 from the proceeds of the Annual Hank Parker Shoot and from a tithe of our staff income. Alan Welch has led the way in this part of the ministry as ERP’s Chief Fundraiser. These grants have gone to a variety of worthy, front-line, Kingdom building organizations, including:

As a leader of a ministry, one of the biggest things that I was missing was someone who had been through what I was going through, a guide, or one of our favorite words, a Mentor. Emmaus Road Partners has been there to guide me through some of the most difficult decisions we’ve had to make as a ministry, and many many children will gain a mentor in their corner because of their leadership. I can lead with much more confidence because of my relationship with ERP.
