His Love Ministries is a 501 (c) 3 non-profit Christian ministry, based on Matthew 25:35-40. The Key Verse is 40, “And the King will answer and say to them, `Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me.” We are dedicated to those the world has forgotten. His Love Ministries has been on mission since December 1997, moving to full-time in March of 2003.
Our Mission is to spread the gospel throughout:
- Prisons, Jails, Transitional Centers, and the Youth Detention Center
- Nursing Homes and Assisted Living Facilities
- Treatment Centers for youth and adults
- Shelters for Women, Children, Veterans, and the Homeless
We seek to reach more people with the life changing message of Jesus Christ. We also desire to equip and edify those who know Christ as their Lord and Savior through the use of Bible studies and Church services in those facilities.
His Love Ministries with our very own Pastor McKenzie each Sunday Morning is the greatest blessing. As we have all left our homes and our churches for one or more reasons; this helps us keep closer to God. Pastor McKenzie fills a void, with his Biblical preaching, his love for people, his warmth and care for each individual.
Everyone we minister to is locked up in some way, shape, or form. Those in nursing home facilities are locked up in bodies that do not work, in a wheelchair or in a bed. We minister to children and youth who are locked up because of behavioral problems. Some have told us, “We want to have a real family”, because their parents have lost or given up custody of them. Other kids are locked up because they have committed crimes. We also minister to those locked up at the jail/prison; to those locked up in addictions to drugs, alcohol, depression, and suicidal thoughts; to those locked up in a variety of other things that keep them from becoming who Jesus wants them to be. He came to give us abundant life, joy, and set us free, and these people that we minister to are not free. Our desire is to show them whatever their background, no matter what they have done, to see how much God loves them. We seek to help them receive forgiveness and freedom from their sin in Jesus Christ.
David and Twig have been a great encouragement to His Love Ministries. ERP has helped us financially when an unplanned need arose. They also helped in making us aware of the need to have a more focused set of goals in writing to more effectively communicate to our current and potential ministry partners. I am thankful to have this resource of Christian brothers that I can touch base with at times to get a specific type of help and be pointed in the right direction.
