Asaph Talks

On June 11, 2021

Lincoln Lawing is the President/Founder of ‘Asaph Talks’. After meeting Jesus in 2009, he felt a call to full-time ministry. Since then he’s used opportunities to share the gospel with unbelievers and encourage those who already believe to continue living in the gospel. Lincoln says, “The name ‘Asaph Talks’ is derived from the Psalmist, Asaph, who penned my favorite Psalm (Psalm 73) among others.”

The vision of ‘Asaph Talks’ is to present to those who struggle with life issues the hope and joy of knowing Jesus Christ through speaking, writing, discipleship, and chaplaincy. ‘Asaph Talks’ specializes in coming alongside ministry leaders, coaches, and athletes to meet them in their current adversity, disciple them to grow in Jesus, uncover their God-given purpose, and then release them to do the same for others.

Emmaus Road Partners has been a great resource for me specifically through the coaching I have received in regards to launching this ministry effectively. David has done an amazing job challenging me to continue to think about the “big picture” of the ministry and to keep my head up and focused on doing the things that matter. They also keep me accountable for my action items through regular check-ins and meetings.

Our focus is to serve…

  • the Church and Christ-centered non-profits through speaking events.
  • coaches and athletes through chaplaincy and mentoring.
  • baseball teams and facilities through chaplaincy.

‘Asaph Talks’ would not be where it is today without the help, support, prayer, and encouragement from Emmaus Road Partners. Throughout the planning, launching, and day-to-day operation of our ministry, ERP has been there every step of the way with the tools we’ve needed to continue accomplishing exactly what God has called us to do.

We seek to follow the model of Jesusto do the following each year:
  • Reach 5,000 with the gospel through speaking events
  • Influence 70 in mentorship through writing, chaplaincy, mentorship.
  • Invest in 12 with discipleship through ongoing teaching, and contact
